Key West – the glamorous seaside town known for its tropical beaches and palm trees – has just been named the most expensive resort in the world by luxury travel site VacationWatch.
Key West, located in Florida, is home to over 50,000 people who flock to the resort every year to relax, catch up on their loved ones, or just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The resort’s luxury shopping district, including the renowned Key West Jewelry and Art Market, is packed with boutiques, restaurants, bars, bars of all shapes and sizes and a vast array of designer boutiques.
This is the second time in the past three years that Key West has been named in Vacationwatch’s list of the world’s most expensive destinations.
In 2013, the resort was named as the most luxurious resort in America.
According to Vacation Watch, Key West is also home to the highest concentration of luxury hotels, restaurants and bars in the United States.
